Membership
1. Institutional membership
Institutions and/or organizations (e.g. Government departments, Universities, research institutes, private sector companies, schools, colleges, International, regional and national bodies, NGOs etc.).
2. Individual membership
1) Individual members
These are individual persons with an interest and/or expertise in the fields of Digital Earth, who wish to be actively involved and to cooperate with the activities and mission of the Society.
2) Student members
These are students studying the wide range of fields of Digital Earth, who wish to be actively involved with the activities and mission of the Society. These students members are qualified for reduced membership fee.
3) Senior members
These are individuals over 65 years of age who wish to be actively involved with the activities and mission of the Society. Senior members benefit from special rates at ISDE Symposia and ISDE Summits.
4) Life members
These are members that do a single payment equivalent to five years membership. .
5) Founding members
Founding members refer to the scientists who contributed to the main steps for the establishment of ISDE.
6) Honorary members
Honorary membership is awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the Digital Earth Vision.
1. Institutional members
1) ISDE will use its best endeavours to recognize and publicize the generosity of all contributions from Institutional Members. This will be done at ISDE events where Institutional Members are contributing, the ISDE web site, brochures, etc. ISDE will not undertake any commercial advertising.
2) Institutional members might make proposals for nomination of their representative at the Council.
3) In addition, Institutional Members benefits include:
a) The opportunity to actively participate in all events organized by ISDE.
b) A discount on registration fees of conferences held by ISDE (maximum 3 representatives).
c) Receipt of ISDE newsletters.
d) Acknowledgement on the ISDE website
2. Individual members
Accredited ISDE members can access the benefits and services that the Society offers, including:
a) The opportunity to actively participate in all events organized by ISDE.
b) A discount on registration fees of conferences held by ISDE.
c) A reduced price for a subscription to the print edition of the International Journal of Digital Earth for individual-class members.
d) The opportunity to participate in international programs conducted by ISDE with other research institutions or organizations.
e) Receipt of ISDE newsletters.
