The International Society for Digital Earth together with the Geospatial World Council is organising a special session on Digital Earth at the Geospatial World Forum that will be held in Amsterdam from 9-12 May 2022.
The Geospatial World Forum (GWF) is the premium geospatial industry platform that connects professionals and leaders representing the entire geospatial ecosystem. The movie "The Billion Dollar Code" released on Netflix tells an interesting legal dispute relating to the birth of two Digital Earth platforms and the economic value of the software.
The aim of the session “The Platform Economy: Digital Earth as the Billion Dollar Code” (organized by the ISDE) is to discuss the social and economic benefits of DE and its current and future challenges but as well discuss current critical issues like data governance and AI ethic, industry engagement, citizen participation, digital ecosystems…
