On 20th November, Dr. Alessandro Annoni, President of the International Society for Digital Earth, participated at the EAASI Summit as a keynote speaker. The European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI), is home to every company and independent consultant, who is involved in the generation of geodata from crewed airborne platforms. At the core of its membership are companies that operate crewed aircraft and aerial surveying equipment in Europe.
The EAASI Summit was open by EAASI President Florian Romanowski, followed by Dr. Alessandro Annoni's keynote speech. Dr. Panos Lolonis, Head of the Geospatial Information Department of the Hellenic Cadastre, also shared valuable insights.
Through the keynote speech on "Opportunity and Innovation in Aerial Surveying for a Connected Future", ISDE President presented the vision of Digital Earth and addressed the impact of Digital Transformation on the Aerial Survey community. Looking to the future, he introduced the vision of an integrated ecosystem where drones, satellites and aircraft work together in real time to create a dynamic digital model of the planet.
