According to the just released 2022 Journal Citation Report (JCR), the International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE) gets its new impact factor (IF): 5.1. This is the highest IF for IJDE, which makes the journal now rank 9 of 49 Geography, Physical journals (Q1), and 11 of 33 Remote Sensing journals (Q2).
The journal of Big Earth Data (BEDJ) also refreshed its record. Its new impact factor is 4.0. It is now ranked 76 of 250 Computer Science, Information Systems journals (Q2), 72 of 248 Geosciences, Multidisciplinary journals (Q2), and 20 of 57 Remote Sensing journals (Q2).
The International Journal of Digital Earth is the first peer-reviewed international journal focusing on the theories, technologies, applications and societal implications of Digital Earth. It was launched by the International Society for Digital Earth and jointly published by Taylor & Francis Group under the sponsorship of the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was accepted for coverage in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in 2009, 18 months since its publication, and has been indexed by 15 large databases worldwide by now.

The Big Earth Data is an interdisciplinary, open access and peer-reviewed academic journal, also the world's first big data journal in the Earth sciences. It was launched in 2017 by the International Society for Digital Earth jointly with the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences – Chinese Academy of Sciences Strategic Priority Research Program "Big Earth Data Science Engineering" and the Taylor & Francis Group. It is indexed in ESCI, Scopus, EI, Inspec, CSCD and other international databases.
