The Big Earth Data journal (hereinafter referred as BEDJ) has been accepted for indexing in the Ei Compendex and GEOBASE databases on Engineering Village. This important milestone ensures that articles published in BEDJ can be more easily found and read by a growing international audience.

Ei Compendex

As described on the Ei Compendex website, the Ei Compendex is the broadest and most complete engineering literature database available in the world. It provides a truly holistic and global view of peer-reviewed and indexed publications with over 20 million records from 77 countries across 190 engineering disciplines. Every record is carefully selected and indexed using the Engineering Index Thesaurus to ensure discovery and retrieval of engineering-specific literature that engineering students and professionals can rely on.

GEOBASE

As described on the GEOBASE website, GEOBASE provides bibliographic information and abstracts for physical and human geography, earth sciences, ecology, geo-mechanics and oceanography. Abstracts of journal articles and books are included, giving unequalled coverage of relevant core international scientific and technical periodicals.

About the journal

BEDJ is an interdisciplinary open access academic journal established in December 2017 as a sister journal of International Journal of Digital Earth. It is jointly published by the International Society for Digital Earth, Aerospace Information Research Institute–Chinese Academy of Sciences and Taylor & Francis Group. Prof. Huadong GUO, Prof. Markku Kulmala and Dr. Stefano Nativi are Editors-in-Chief of the journal.

BEDJ is the world's first big data journal in the Earth sciences, and it aims to provide an efficient and high-quality platform for promoting 'big data' sharing, processing and analyses, thereby revolutionizing the cognition of the Earth's systems. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, data papers and technical notes on 'big data' studies across the entire spectrum of the Earth sciences. The journal is indexed in DOAJ, Scopus, Ei Compendex and GEOBASE.
