Shuli CHEN

University of Arizona, USA

Shuli Chen is a Ph.D candidate in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, working with Prof. Scott Saleska. Her research focuses on understanding the biogeography of Amazon forest drought resilience and vulnerability, combining insights from environmental resource and trait-based ecology to inform remote sensing strategies for investigating ecosystem responses. She has published articles in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, including Nature, New Phytologist, and TGRS etc. During her Ph.D, she has been awarded several prestigious grants, including the NASA Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (FINESST) fellowship and the University of Arizona Galileo Circle Scholarship. Chen earned her bachelor's degree from the School of Geography and Planning at Sun Yat-sen University and pursued a master's degree in the Faculty of Geographical Science at Beijing Normal University, where she received the National Scholarship and first prize in the CPGIS Student Paper Competition, among other accolades.
