Prof. Qulin Tan

Qulin Tan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc from Nanjing University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. In 2003, he got his Ph.D. in remote sensing and geographical information systems from the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently an associate professor of surveying and mapping in highway and railway engineering with Beijing Jiaotong University, China. During 2007-2008 period, he is a visiting professor with the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Tan’s research interests focus on applications of remote sensing and GIS analysis in transportation, digital remote sensing image processing, automatic extraction of geographic feature, and transportation environment impacts and analysis using remote sensing technology.
Dr. Tan is a standing member of railway survey and design in railway engineering association, China. Also, he is a member of Beijing surveying and mapping association, engineering survey in civil engineering association, and International association of IEEE GRSS.
