According to the newly released 2023 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Big Earth Data (BEDJ) has achieved an impressive impact factor (IF) of 4.2, the highest in the journal's history. This achievement places BEDJ 57 of 249 journals in Computer Science, Information Systems (Q1), 34 of 253 journals in Geosciences, Multidisciplinary (Q1), and 16 of 62 in Remote Sensing journals (Q2).
Based on the newly released 2023 Scopus CiteScore, the new CiteScore for Big Earth Data is an impressive 7.4. This ranks the journal 13 of 73 in Computers in Earth Sciences (Q1) and 182 of 817 in Computer Science Applications (Q1).

Big Earth Data (BEDJ) is an interdisciplinary open access academic journal jointly published by the International Society for Digital Earth, International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals, Aerospace Information Research Institute - Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Taylor & Francis Group. Prof. Huadong Guo is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
BEDJ aims to provide an efficient and high-quality platform for promoting the sharing, processing, and analyses of Earth-related big data, thereby revolutionizing the cognition of the Earth’s systems. It focuses on all aspects of big Earth data handling, including the theories, methods, algorithms, and technologies used for the collection, management, analysis, and visualization of big Earth data. The journal publishes a wide range of content, including research articles, review articles, data articles and technical notes. As a pioneer in supporting Open Science, the journal adheres to the principles of open and FAIR data and research software. BEDJ is now indexed in ESCI, Scopus, EI, Inspec, and CSCD.
